Ingredients :
Tail off Shrimp-1 lb
Ginger Garlic paste-1 tablespoon
Green chilis-6 slit
Onions-1 cup thinly sliced
Tomatoes- 3/4 cup Diced
Mint Leaves-1/2 cup chopped
Cilantro-1/2 cup chopped
Kasuri Methi-1 tsp
Beaten Yogurt-1/2 cup
Oil-6 table spoon
Basmathi Rice-2 1/2 cups ( soaked for 1/2 hr )
Water- 4 cups
Red chili powder-1/2 tsp
Garam masala-1 tsp
Coriander powder-1 tsp
Pepper powder-1/2 tsp
Cumin powder-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Method :
Heat oil in a kadai, add sliced onions, slit green chilis, ginger garlic paste and fry till the oil separates. Now add chopped cilantro and mint and fry for two minutes. Add the diced tomatoes and fry for five minutes. Add all the masala powders and salt and cook for two mins on low flame. Now add the beaten yogurt and mix well. Add shrimp and cook for three to five minutes. Now add water and mix well and let it come to a boil, turn the flame to low and add the soaked basmati rice and gently mix. Let it cook for seven minutes on medium flame. Now turn the flame to medium low, cover the top of the kadai with foil and close the lid and cook for 15-20 minutes or till you see the steam escape on top. Turn off the flame and let it sit for 20 minutes. Now take the lid off and serve with your favorite yogurt raita!
