Ingredients
Sabudana/Sabakki-1 cup
Yogurt-1 cup
Rava/ Sooji-1 cup
Salt to taste
Water as required
Baking Soda-1 pinch
Ghee/ Oil-2 tspn
Method
Wash the sabudana for 3 times or until water runs clear and soak it 3 cups of water for a minimum of 3hrs. The sabudana will become soft and will almost doubled in size. Now strain all the water and keep aside.
Grease the idli plates with ghee/ oil and keep ready.
Take a big mixing bowl and add soaked sabudana, rava, yogurt, salt and mix well. Add water as required to make the batter come to idli batter consistency. Let this batter rest for 10mins.
After 10mins, add the baking soda to the batter and mix thoroughly. Add the batter to greased idli plates and steam cook them for 10-12 mins. Carefully un mould the Idlis. Serve hot with your favorite Chutney!!
