I always look forward to experimenting in the kitchen. Today I tried to simplify the classic Nawabi chicken and the end result was lip smacking good!! Do try and you will not be disappointed.
Ingredients
Chicken-1 lb
Butter/Ghee-2 table spoon
Bay leaves-2
Ginger garlic paste-2 tsp
Green chili paste-1 tsp
Onion-1 big finely chopped
Yogurt-3 tsp [beaten]
Cilantro-4 tsp
Fresh Cream-3 table spoon
Salt to taste
To Blend
Cumin-1 tsp
Turmeric-1/4 tsp
Cloves-4
Black Cardamom-1
Cardamom-3
Pepper powder-1 tsp
Coconut milk-1 cup
Cashews-12
Blend everything into a fine paste and set aside.
Method
Heat the ghee in a pan, add the bay leaves and sliced onions and fry till golden brown. Add the ginger garlic paste, green chili paste and fry till the raw smell is gone.
Add the chicken and salt to it, mix well and cover, cook for 10 minutes on medium flame mixing once or twice in between.
Now add the blended masala, beaten yogurt and chopped cilantro and cook till the chicken is completely done.
Add the fresh cream to it and give it a gentle mix and turn off heat.
Serve it with your favorite Roti, Kulcha or Naan.
