Andhra style chili chicken

One tasty recipe that packs a ton of flavor in every bite. No fry version of your favorite Andhra style chili chicken.Do try.

Ingredients

Chicken-1 lb

Mint-2 tbsp chopped

Garlic paste-1 tsp

Pepper powder-1 tsp

Turmeric-1/4 tsp

Cinnamon powder-1/2 tsp

Clove powder-1/4 tsp

Dhanya/Coriander powder-2 tbsp

Green bell peppers-1 cubed

Onions-1 cubed

Curry leaves-1 sprig

Green chilis-5 finely chopped

Garlic pods-6 crushed

Cilantro-3 tbsp chopped

Lime slices-4

Lime juice-1/4 cup

Salt to taste

Olive oil-2 to 3 tbsp

Method

Mix lemon juice, salt, turmeric, pepper powder, garlic paste and 2 tsp olive oil together and add this marinade to the chicken pieces and let it sit for at least 2 hours in the refregirator.

Heat the remaining oil in a pan, add the cubed onions and bell peppers and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes [make sure that the veggies don’t become soggy] and set aside.

To the same pan, add the green chilies, mint and crushed garlic and fry for 2 mins. Add the marinated chicken to it and let it cook till the water evaporates.Now add all the powders to it and cook on a low flame till everything is well combined.

Now, add the sautéed onions, curry leaves and bell pepper to the cooked chicken and gently toss. Garnish with chopped cilantro and sliced lime. Serve it hot.
