Mysore Pak was first prepared in the Royal kitchen at the Mysore Palace!! This three ingredient melt in your mouth dessert brings back so many childhood memories with it!! Just love making it as well as indulging in it!!
Ingredients
Besan (gram flour)-1 cup
Sugar-1 1/4 cup
Ghee-1 1/2 cup
Water-2 cups
Saffron-1 pinch
Elaichi powder-1/4 tsp
Method
Heat a heavy botton pan, add the water,saffron and sugar and mix well.The sugar syrup should come to one string consistency.
Meanwhile, Mix the besan flour,elaichi and half cup ghee into a batter without any lumps and set aside.
Grease a plate with ghee and keep ready.
Once the sugar syrup reaches one string consistency, add the ghee and besan mixture to it and keep stirring continuously on a low flame adding the reamining ghee little by little. Be careful not to burn the mixture. Once you see the mixture leave the sides of the pan and become frothy on top, transfer it to the greased plate and let it set and cool down completely.
Once set, cut it into desired shape and enjoy!!
