This is one of the easiest and simple recipes which explodes with a ton of flavor.One of my favorite pairing with this is a light cucumber salad with some lime juice.I make it mostly on my outdoor grill but due to winters in Michigan i don’t get to use my grill during the snowy months.so,I started to bake them in the oven and then to get that grilled[charred] flavor I broil it for a couple mins till the top turns a little black.
Ingredients
Chicken drumsticks-12
For Marinade
Garlic-20 big pods
Pepper corns-3 tbsp
Lime juice-1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Ghee-2 tbsp
Mint leaves-1/4 cup
Cinnamon-2 inches
Cloves-6
Turmeric-1/4 tsp
Cilantro-1/4 cup chopped
Method
Take the skin out and make 2 or 3 slits on each drumstick and keep aside.
Grind all the ingredients under marinade into a coarse paste and let it rest for 5 mins.
Coat the drumsticks with the marinade and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 2 hrs.
Pre heat the oven to 425 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with foil and place the drumsticks evenly on the sheet and let it bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 mins. I you like a charred flavor broil it for 3 mins.
Squeeze fish lime juice on top before serving. Serve it hot with a side of sliced cucumbers and onions.
