It’s simple, easy & absolutely delicious. My Hariyali Shrimp is perfect for entertaining & always a big crowd pleaser. It can be served as either an appetizer or as a side dish, either way – it’s really delicious! The term “hariyali” refers to a lovely vibrant green color – which is exactly the color of this yummy dish.
Ingredients
Shrimp-1 lb [ De Veined & cleaned]
To Grind
Green chilis-6
Cinnamon powder-1/4 tsp
Mint leaves-1/4 cup
Cilantro-1/2 cup
Garlic-5
Pepper-1/2 tsp
Lime juice-2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Coconut flakes-1 tbsp
Olive oil-1 tbsp
Blend all the masala ingredients into a coarse paste and set aside.
Method
Mix the masala with the cleaned shrimp and set aside to marinate for at least one hour.
Pre heat the oven to 350 degree F.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, arrange the marinated shrimp on the baking sheet and bake for 10-12 mins or till the shrimp curls up.
Turn the oven to broil setting, broil the shrimp for 1 -2 mins.
Squeeze some fresh lime juice on top and garnish with some cilantro.
Note: Don’t over cook the shrimp, it will turn chewy and rubbery.
