Easy Healthy & Tasty treat that will surely tantalize your taste buds with a little bit of hot n spicy & salty n spice!!
Ingredients
Big Tomatoes-4 [sliced into circles]
Peanuts-1/4 cup [coarsely crushed]
Cilantro-2 tsp[finely chopped]
Fine Sev-1/4 cup [you can find it at any Indian Groceries]
Onions-2 tbsp [finely chopped]
Cucumber-2 tbsp[finely chopped]
Tamarind & Dates Chutney-2 tsp
Mint Chutney-1 tbsp
Chaat Masala-1/2 tsp
Mint Chutney
Mint Leaves- 1 cup
Cumin Seeds-1/2 tsp
Garlic pod-2
Ginger-1/2 inch
Green Chilis-5
Lemon Juice-2 tbsp
Cilantro-1/2 Bunch
Salt to taste
Blend everything into a smooth paste and set aside.
Tamarind & Dates Chutney
Macerated Dates-1/2 cup
Tamarind Paste-2 tsp
Red chili Powder-1/4 tsp
Cumin powder-1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Ginger Powder-1/4 tsp
Blend everything into a smooth paste with little water. Heat a heavy bottom pan and let the chutney simmer on low medium flame for 10-12 mins.Once cool, store in an airtight bottle in the refrigerator.
Method
Place the tomato slices on the serving plate.Add the finely chopped cucumber and onions on top of each slice. Top it with mint chutney and tamarind & dates chutney. Sprinkle some chaat masala.
Sprinkle some fine sev and coarsely crushed peanuts.Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve immediately before the sev gets soggy.
