Wheat Dosa

This simple dosa is a healthy and nutritional substitute [you get extra protein from the Urad dal] to your normal chapatis or phulkas and goes very well with any curry chutney or gravy. If you are bored of having chapatis all the time, then this recipe is a must try!

INGREDIENTS

Broken Wheat-1 cup

Urad Daal-1/2 cup

Poha-1/4 cup

Methi seeds-1/2 tspn

Salt to taste

Water to soak the ingredients and then grind the batter

METHOD

Soak all the ingredients for four hours and then grind it into a fine batter [regular dosa batter consistency] in your vitamix,  or regular blender/grinder.

Let the batter rest for one hour. Now add salt and mix well.

Heat a griddle or dosa pan and pour a ladleful of the batter and spread it thin. Roast the dosa on a medium flame till the bottom turns golden brown. Now add a few drops of ghee/oil around the dosa and turn the heat to low and let the dosa on the pan for couple seconds. The dosa will be crisp and ready to enjoy!! Serve with your favorite side dish.

Note:No fermentation required.
